Frequently Asked Questions
- Does each letter come separately?
- Your lettering will come on a white backing, it will be cut to shape and have a clear masking over the top so that you can apply it as if it were one piece. If you are ordering multiple lines please note each line should come together but you may not get the entire set in one piece!
- May I install my lettering on the outside of my window or the inside?
- We would recommend you install the lettering on the outside of your window for best visibility. If you would like your lettering to be applied on the inside of your window for people to see on the outside, you will need to select the reverse cut option. Please note this option will reduce the visibility and overall effect of the lettering.
- The website is showing my lettering on a background. Will my lettering come on that background as shown?
- As long as you are in the vinyl lettering section, your lettering will be cut to shape with no background. Where there is a background or surface color option, this is for your convenience to see what the lettering will look like against a particular color background only. If you are wanting your lettering on a background and produced as a vinyl decal instead, please go to the custom decals section to place your order.
- May I apply my own vinyl lettering?
- Most people who order from us apply their lettering themselves with no problem. We include instructions on application of the letters for your convenience. If you are not comfortable with applying your own lettering, we would recommend that you look into hiring someone to do it for you. Your local sign shop should be able to quote you for doing this!
- Will your letters withstand winter elements?
- Yes. The sun is their worst enemy. Over many years the sun will work away at the decals causing them to eventually fade & curl. For added durability, we would recommend an upgrade to our premium vinyl and the UV laminate as this will help to extend the life of the letters.
- How small can you make vinyl letters?
- We can create cut to shape letters that are 1"H or more. If your lettering is under 1"H, it will need to be produced on a clear vinyl with a contour cut rather than cut to shape as smaller letters tend to rip and tear both when being produced and applied.
- How big can you make vinyl letters?
- We can create vinyl letters as tall as 20' or better. However they would have several seams throughout the letter. We would have to bid this per the job.
- I would like to order some vinyl letters. I do not see the font I want on your site. Can you create letters using my font?
- Yes we can create the letters to your specs if you can email us the True Type Font file.
- May I customize one of your lettering templates to suit my needs?
- Sure thing. All of our professionally designed lettering templates are fully customizable. Just change the text, add your color, add effects if needed, and off you go.
