Using More Than One Sign as a Restaurant

Restaurants can benefit greatly by enlarging their promotional efforts with several different types of signs. There are many different uses for vinyl banners, and they come in many different sizes.

Here are some ideas on how you can utilize several different signs in your restaurant.

Attracting more customers. By using a large banner outside to promote new food items, you can easily attract people who are passing by your location in their vehicles. However, you should not ignore the people who may be walking by on foot. This different visual perspective may mean that they will be unable to see your banner, particularly if it is hung in the air.

To fix this problem, you can use smaller signs that are displayed on the sidewalk outside of your location and in front of your entrance. These smaller signs can be identical to the larger banners, or slightly different, due to space constraints. They can easily be displayed in small banner frames that will allow you to move the signs in at night, or rearrange them

Reminding customers of specials. Small banners work well indoors to remind customers of special items that may be on sale, or desert items that they may not otherwise see. These small signs can be positioned by the menu stand, or in the front area of your restaurant.

This will give your customers a visual cue, making them hungry and more likely to order these items. When you are debuting new products, this is a very good way to increase their exposure. By placing several of these signs throughout your location, you can constantly reinforce your message.

Saying it in differently. Not all marketing techniques will work for the same customers. If you can create several different signs, using graphics, text or combinations of these elements, you can widen the appeal of the signs.

For example, some people prefer signs with more text than pictures. You can easily appeal to this type of customer with one sign, and use other more graphical signs to appeal to customers who prefer graphical signs.

Combining uses. Most restaurants require a sign placed near the front entrance, either to have customers seat themselves, or to ask them to wait to be seated. This type of sign can also be used to prompt customers to ask about your specials. A second sign can be placed near this seating sign to reinforce the message.

These are just a few examples of how multiple signs can benefit a restaurant. With a little creativity, you can widen your advertising campaigns, attracting more customers and selling more items.
