Sign Installation Techniques

Installation of our signs is very easy. Whether you have selected an aluminum, vinyl or Aluma Lite, you should be able to install your sign within a few minutes. Each type of sign will have different installation requirements. Here are some quick installation tips to assist you.

Aluminum Sign Installation

Our aluminum signs can be installed using a simple post or pole, or by attaching it to a wall. If you plan to install a sign using a pole, you will need to have a fence post digger, as well as brackets to attach the sign to the pole. A post should be approximately 7-8 feet long before it is buried. For optimal safety and security, two feet of this post should be buried under ground. You can then attach the sign using your brackets.

If you plan to install your sign on a wall, you will need to have a drill, as well as screws and washers. You may need a masonry or wood drill bit, depending on the installation surface. The washers should be placed behind the sign, against the wall.

You can also use a sign stand if you plan to temporarily display your sign. This works well for indoor installation as well. These stands can range in material from plastic to metal. A sign stand can be purchased at a local home improvement store or a hardware store.

Aluma Lite Sign Installation

Our aluminum signs are large and may require extra installation help if you are not comfortable with installing it yourself. These signs are typically located on the roof or a wall of your building and can be attached using brackets or heavy duty screws. You can contact a local contractor for installation help.

Vinyl Sign Installation

Our vinyl signs can be installed using screws and washers, or by attaching a cord through the grommets of your sign. For permanent installation, you will need to use a drill, again, with either a masonry or wood drill bit as well as screws and washers. The washers should be placed between the grommets and the wall. The screws can then be inserted through the grommets to secure your sign.

If you plan to use rope or a cord to hang your sign, you will need to thread the cord through the grommets. You should leave enough length on either end of your sign to secure it to either hooks or brackets on the wall. It is important to have an equal length of cord on either side of the sign to ensure that your sign will hang evenly. If necessary, a support can be placed at the center of your sign to ensure that it does not sag.
